You love our tortillas? Let us take care of the delivery by subscribing to a regular delivery of two packs of 12 delicious tortillas made fresh from our very own NZ Corn masa (dough).
Choose how often you want your tortillas, every 1, 2, or 3 weeks.
Delivery fee to urban addresses is included, delivery usually between Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Please know that the order cut off is Friday at mid day for delivery the following week so if you need to skip a delivery, please do so before Friday otherwise visit us at the markets or find our tortillas in any our our stockists.
Use our NZ corn tortillas to make your own tacos, quesadillas or embark in any other tortilla adventure.
Keep your fresh tortillas refrigerated (see best before date on the back label). Not planning to eat them this week? You can always freeze them (up to 3 months) and use as you need.
If your tortillas are vacuum packed, make sure you re-stack them one by one before putting in a zip bag or in an air tight container in the freezer (no need for separation layer, just re-stack them).
If your tortillas are in a zip bag (i.e. you bought them from us at the market) you can put them as they are straight into the freezer.
Pan, Skillet or BBQ hot plate (Comal)
- Heat dry (no oil) over high-ish heat.
- Warm each tortilla for about 10-15 seconds per side until soft, floppy and hot, or for longer if you prefer them toasted and crispy.
See pro tips below
----------------------------------------
Microwave for 30–60 seconds depending on quantity and the power of your microwave.
- Best for speed, but try not to over heat them for a soft tortilla.
Pro Tips
• If not serving immediately wrap heated tortillas in a clean slightly damp tea towel or in a tortilla cozy to retain heat and moisture.
• If tortillas are dry or cracking, wet them under the tap before reheating.
These tortillas contain NZ corn (Nixtamalised) and a pinch of salt, nothing too complicated. The cooking of the corn known as Nixtamalisation uses water and a small amount of food grade hydrated lime to break own the grain and make it more digestible and nutritious.
